Mentally Fit Chess Simul

$5 fee on-site. Test your mental fitness vs some of Corpus Christi's finest and talented players. A few strong players will be doing a Simul (Playing multiple opponents simultaneously) to test their wits and yours while playing the worlds greatest board game.

About the Event
One of the many events taking place at the 2023 Corpus Christi Fit Fest. RSVP online to be first in line or just show up at any point during the event to get added to the waitlist. A Simul is a type of chess exhibition play in which one host player plays multiple games at a time with several other players. The host, who gets to play the white pieces, moves from table to table to play a single move. The chess boards are arranged in a circle or square and the host walks from board to board in a fixed direction. Each participant is expected to make a move when the host arrives at his/her board. For this event we are planning to have two hosts each playing on ten boards. This should speed things along smoothly. When one player finishes a game the next player in line can take their seat and start a new game each game should last between 10-60 minutes.
